Red Wings reach two-year deal with F Namestnikov

The Detroit Red Wings and free-agent center Vladislav Namestnikov agreed to terms on a two-year contract, the team announced Sunday.Financial terms were not disclosed by the Red Wings, however TSN reported that the deal is worth $4 million.Namestnikov will be reunited with Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman, who held the same position with Tampa Bay when the Lightning selected him with the 27th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Draft.The 27-year-old Russian is the nephew of former Red Wings forward Vyacheslav Kozlov, who won two Stanley Cups with the club. He shared his thoughts about joining the club on Instagram.”Childhood dreams do come true. Beyond excited to join the @detroitredwings organization,” he wrote.
